Detachment (how to say strong, despite your emotions)
***HULSE STRENGTH & WISDOM TRIBE MEMBERS ONLY*** — In this video I tell a personal story of a minor, but disturbing incident that recently affected me and my family. You will lean why we let this circumstance “roll off our backs” and the how the Stoic philosophy of detachment will keep you thinking clearly to make prudent decisions during times of emotional challenge. Also, you’ll listen to a recount of Victor A Frankel’s (author of Man’s Search For Meaning) experiences and awakening while suffering the fate of imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp.

Good video Elliott. Thanks man! I see so many people consumed with the “things” they so call own instead of taking ownership in themselves.

To “know thyself” is the most powerful… and most difficult thing for most men to do!

Elliot,
I understand what your saying about detachment. I think in society today were conditioned to think that success is what we own. A car, a house, ipods, macbooks whatever. And its important to practice detachment from these things because you can realize that you put too much faith in something material. For example dont drive your car, walk. Sleep outside in a makesshift tent, go without your pc for a week. Time apart from these things can push a great appreciation for them as well as shed some light on how much we actually NEED them. Also bro, I’ve been practicing some intermittent 24 hour fasts and thats some detachment that offers so much clarity in terms of the relationship from your mind to body. Great video and keep them coming!
