Internship At Strength Camp

Finally, I am ready to share ALL of my Strength & Conditioning and Fitness Business Building systems with a motivated, disciplined and daring intern who is willing to put up with my obsessive-compulsive, yet sloppy and silly style of behavior.

Here is what you need to know…

Details - this is a 90 day unpaid internship that may evolve into a full time job at my rough and rugged Strength Camp in St. Petersburg Florida.  You will spend an estimated 20 hours per week working with me on:

Training Fitness Camps

Training High School & College Athletes

Publishing Content On The Internet

Following Up With Strength Camp Members

Listening To My Wacky Ideas

Studying Videos & Reading Books

Train With Me And Get Jacked / Strong

Basically, Become A “Mini Me” (look, I’m just being honest!)

Only Apply If…

You have a strength & conditioning background (either played sports or trained athletes)

You have a certification or are getting one… I don’t care which one.

You can talk LOUD! (and demand attention/respect when you are coaching groups)

You have solid computer and Internet skills (at least know how to use YouTube)

You don’t complain… about ANYTHING (I hate complainers)

You are a sponge for knowledge in training as well as business

You enjoy rap music and punk rock when training

You can commit to 90 days with me and The Strength Camp Crew

If you live in Florida – great!  If not, you’ll have to find housing and do your own laundry.

How To Apply…

Applications will be accepted until 1/4/09

I would prefer, but don’t require, a “video application”.  Basically, film yourself speaking to me about your qualifications and why you feel that you’d be a good fit for this position.  Then upload it to YouTube and send me the link to your video in a e-mail with “Intern Application” as the subject line.

If you have no idea what I am talking about or have never heard of YouTube, please don’t apply.  If you’d rather send me a written application, that’s fine too.

Be creative.  Send me your application speaking of, or showing me “Who You Are”.

For example… tell me things like your favorite non-training books to read, what type of relationship you have with your grandmother, what are your hobbies, aspirations, goals, philosophies, etc.  This to me is more important than the letters next to your name or what university you went to.  I am looking for Character, Commitment, Discipline and Honesty.

I appreciate you considering this position.  I encourage you to apply even if you feel that I may not choose you due to “X” reasons… or whatever.  It may very well be your perceived weakness or weirdness’s that makes me WANT to choose you. Please don’t discredit yourself or pre-judge my assumptions… If you want this internship APPLY.

Send applications to strengthcamp@gmail.com no later than 1/4/09.  Once I have received all applications I will review them and contact you for an interview.  Then we’ll make arrangements for getting the ball rolling!
