Strength & Conditioning Video

We’ve been doing a ton of great things with baseball and football players over the past few weeks.

Since I am always taking random video shots I’ve got a bunch of clips that typically go unseen.

So instead of leaving them for lost… I just threw together a short compilation video for you to enjoy.

ONE THING!  – Every week I have been sending you at least one video that is a “Tutorial”, basically a video with me sharing some in-depth information about strength and conditioning… not just some surface content or feel-good BS.

I need you to do me a big favor though… please let me know what you would like me to do the next few Tutorials on.

Just post your questions or topic suggestions below!

Enjoy the video!

    Gotta couple questions/topic suggestion:

    1. What are some exercises that I can do to take the strength I’ve gained in my hips and legs through squats, deads, lunges, etc and turn it into power that can be used on the field?

    2. I do a good amount of box jumps, broad jumps, vertical jumps and have a decent vertical – usually around 30 inches when tested. But I’ve noticed that this doesn’t always translate on the field. When I’m running and jump to intercept the ball I can never get as high as I do during my training..how can I use jump training so that it will be translate on the field for this type of situation?

    Elliott,

Loved this. keep it up. Looks like you have build up the thickness to match your strength.

feedback: great for hard core folks and action shots. I would have like to hear names, title, sport training for. I would like to have heard about the exercise and what it does for the athlete.

@ Tom – thanks buddy! you are the man… i gotta do an interview with you about how you kick ass at strength camp just out of shoulder surgery!!! keep rockin’

@ Justin – what you are looking for can be achieved by a few ways

    1. play more football ;) like the old saying goes “the only way to get better at football is to play football. all the time spent in the gym
will transfer only if you go out an use it.

    2. use more ‘reactive’ drills… like sprinting jumping or changing direction on sounds or visual cues.

@ Tommy D – thanks dude! yea, i gained like 50 lbs since you last say me ;) … check out some of my older posts.

@ Alex – who needs to study when you are JACKED!?

@ Donnie – we gotta put an ass on ya! ;)

EVERYONE – thanks for the feedback… i’ll be using it for the upcomming tutorials.

Great stuff. I am a football coach that is looking for new ways to get the kids stronger. I have seen great new things to try from your videos. I would like to see how I could implement some of the strongman training in a tradition weight room setting with a very limited budget. Thanks and keep working.
