Strongman Training, Life, Love and Family
What does it means to have INTEGRITY?
Do you live a life that is “one” with your values and time-tested principles?
Is your life a living manifestation and consistent with the words you speak?
Do you experience a sense of “wholeness” between your family, career, self improvement and recreation?
To me, INTEGRITY is the glue that binds all of the values that I hold dear to my heart together. It serves as the barometer by which I measure my life results against my stated values and goals.
Every so often, I am forced to reflect on the direction my life is moving… sometimes I am moving so fast down the highway of life that I even forget to check my map!!
This weekend I added one more plaque to my wall of worldly accomplishments, but did it serve as a means towards my deepest convictions and values?
Find out below… then please take a moment to answer the questions I posted below, thanks.
** What are your DEEPEST convictions?
** What values do you hold dearest to your heart?
** How is your life a living testament to all that you believe to be right and true?

This video does no justice to the show of strength you put on. For those of you who can make it to the april show in Orlando, Fla., I highly reccomend it. Great job, Hoss.

You’re animal…and you don’t just look strong, you are strong! I think this video is the best testimonial out there that you know your stuff. One of the values that I hold to is integrity. This goes hand-in-hand with not being a hippocrite. Speaking mainly from a parental aspect, my parents smoked, drank, swore, etc. and then turned right around and told me not to do those same things. They had tremendous ethics, all things aside, but they lost credibility with me when I entered adolescence. Parents have to lead by example. This point is similar to the discussion last week about obese parents expecting their kids not to be lazy. It took me quite a while to learn that lesson as an adult – to cut the dead weight and surround myself with champs, not chumps.
The power elite have always sent their kids to boarding schools. I think that takes the kids out of their comfort zone so they can focus, but it also prevents them from seeing the shortcomings of their parents.
It is very important to lead by example (or lead from the front as Even-esh likes to say). I think this is extremely important, Elliott, when you are raising girls. The strength and conviction that you have as a man will have an impact on their choice of male companionship throughout their lives. To set goals, take chances, meet challenges head-on…that’s what it’s all about!

Fantastic job! And very motivational–you run with stuff I can’t even budge (not yet, at least.)
But the best part is your focus on integrity: that’s the real contest, the real achievement, and the real inspiration.
Boston asked the musical question “What does it take to be a man?” Well, you’re doing a good job showing what it takes. It’s not easy, but I appreciate and respect that you are willing to be up front and honest and spend time dealing with the subject.
