When I was a kid my uncle, who was a master of a Kung Fu
style named “Northern Shaolin Long Fist”, use to play old
Bruce Lee movies for my bothers and I to watch.
In one episode Bruce Lee gathers a ton of energy using this crazy
growling sound and a killer look in his eyes right before he
strikes the bad guy in the chest with a massive death blow!
His opponent lifelessly dropped to the floor… he was dead!
I asked my uncle how Bruce Lee killed this dude, who was about
3 x his size, with a single punch?
His answer was… POWER!
“Bruce Lee understood how to pack a lot of power into his little
body… that is why he can dominate such larger opponents.”
What most people don’t know is that explosive power is a skill.
Mechanically, it is the function of physical strength and speed… but
there is so much more to it than that.
In fact, there are about 4 other “strength skills” that lead to greater
explosive power… I’ll tell you more about those later.
It was clear that Bruce Lee and my ass kicking uncle both understood
these Power Principles… unfortunately most athletes and coaches today
have no clue about them.
But you’ll get all the goods from your buddy Elliott
