Strength & Conditioning Video
We’ve been doing a ton of great things with baseball and football players over the past few weeks.
Since I am always taking random video shots I’ve got a bunch of clips that typically go unseen.
So instead of leaving them for lost… I just threw together a short compilation video for you to enjoy.
ONE THING! – Every week I have been sending you at least one video that is a “Tutorial”, basically a video with me sharing some in-depth information about strength and conditioning… not just some surface content or feel-good BS.
I need you to do me a big favor though… please let me know what you would like me to do the next few Tutorials on.
Just post your questions or topic suggestions below!
Enjoy the video!

A Secret About Anabolic Steroids
I have never used steroids and I NEVER advise my athletes to get involved with steroids.
I will reserve my opinion about steroid use here, but the simple fact is that I had just never needed them.
Besides the fact that we great strength gains by training hard, eating STRONG foods, periodizing de-load and rest time…
I also teach my athletes a few dirty little secrets that gets their bodies to release more:
Testosterone
Growth Hormone
DHEA
Melatonin
…naturally!
Watch this video and find out how:

Where I get Strongman Equipment
One of the questions that I get most from athletes, parents and coaches is…
Where the hell do I find a 500 pound tractor tire? (or variations there of)
So, today I am going to tell you exactly where I get all of the Strongman equipment that I use to train my athletes.
As a bonus with your Football Strength System you also get my Strongman Training Guide. This bonus is great and I’ll be revealing a ton more about Strongman Training for athletes in some of my future projects.
Tractor Tires - to get one of these bad boys all you need to do is to look in your local Yellow Pages and call the tire yard in your city. Often they are happy to give you a tire since it costs them to recycle them. If you ask nicely they may even deliver for you!
Tire Sleds - I literally drove around my city with my van and picked up tires that were laying on the side of the road (I still stop if I see a good one). Once youve got a tire with the wheel still in it all you need is a short chain and a tow rope to attach. Happy dragging!
Farmers Bars - These are a must-have for any weight room or garage gym. In fact, farmers carries make my top 5 list for best strength exercises for athletes. I got mine from Alan at Pit Bulk (http://www.marunde-muscle.com/pitbull.html) Another good site is New York Barbell (http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/strongman.html)
Kegs - Another top 10er on my list of best functional strength exercises for athletes is “Keg Carries” (see 2 football “beasts” carrying kegs here (http://www.hulsestrength.com/4-best-exercises/). My kegs are as light as 50 lbs. and go up to 200 lbs. Most of them are from keg parties given to me by friends, you can call your local beer distributor to see if they’ll sell you some, or just throw a keg party! My kegs are filled with sand and water then caped with a rubber cap found at home depot.
Sand Bags - We use sandbags for EVERYTHING! But by far my favorite exercise is “loading”. (you can see a sandbag ‘load’ here http://www.hulsestrength.com/strongman-for-football/)Theses are a great variation on the “triple extension”, so widely popularized by Olympic Weightlifting. You can get some bags over at http://www.sandbagexercises.com/ , or you can do just like me and fill up some contractor bags with play ground sand and dump them into an Army duffle bag. My bags weigh 40 lbs up to 200 lbs.
Logs - These are great for pressing, dead lifting and odd object carrying. You can get one for cheap from Alan also (http://www.marunde-muscle.com/pitbull.html). You can also buy great ones from http://www.slatershardware.com/Truelogs.html I use a 12″ in my strongman competitions and when training at Tom Mitchell’s house in Clearwater.
Stones - Although I love stone lifting, I dont use them with my athletes. Unlike myself, most folks don’t want to have forearms that are bloody and callused from stone loading. But, if your willing to get a little bo-bo in exchange for a massive back, biceps and super strong hip strength… then you need to give theses a try. I bought mine already made from a strongman in my city who quit the game. You may be able to do the same, just check the internet for strongmen in your city. Somtimes they’ll make you one for a good price. If you want to make your own check out the molds at http://www.slatershardware.com/ or just buy one from – http://www.atomicathletic.com/store/
Yoke - Yoke carries are great hip, back and core strengtheners. I love this event… because I kick everyones ass in it. You can see me sprinting with a yoke here: http://www.hulsestrength.com/road-to-pro-strongman-1/. Alan makes these also (http://www.marunde-muscle.com/pitbull.html) for pretty cheap and you can get one from http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/strongman.html too.
Besides what I mentioned above, some of the sites I listed offer a huge variety of strongman and strength training equipment… so check em out.
