What Your Body Says About YOU!
I am doing some fascinating research on the topic of
Somatic Psychology for the second course in in my
STRENTHOLOGY certification.
Somatic Psychology is basically a way of understanding
a person’s character by observing the way they “hold”
their physical posture.
For example, a person who has weak or imbalanced legs,
and tends to hold tension in their joints is called “The
Creative Type”; since they spend most of their energy in
the mind as opposed to the body.
They almost never exercise, are very unathletic and avoid
movement in most cases. Yet they are usually extremely
intelligent or artistic.
You might remember this kind of kid from grade school.
He / she was pretty weak, always got sick, had a poor
appetite or allergies BUT they were brilliant in school
and the teachers often rewarded them for being smart.
In my studies I am learning that there are several
variations of dozens of different character postures like
this.
All of them have their strengths and weaknesses, and most
of us can be placed into one or more of these categories.
The point of studying this idea of somatic psychology is
so that I can personally recognize my strengths in order
to capitalize on them, and see my weaknesses in order to
strengthen them.
Also, so that I can share these ideas with you and support
YOU in becoming the strongest version of yourself.
If we are self-objective and honest with ourselves it is
usually easy to see and admit to our own weaknesses.
The problem is that most people are not willing to look
at themselves objectively and admit the subtle truths about
who they are.
In regard to BUILDING BRUTE PHYSICAL STRENGTH
there are going to be two types of people…
One that has a natural ability to get stronger.
The other has difficulty building strength.
Both types should follow a program that’s main focus is on
challenging the nervous system and building solid tendon
strength.
The first type of person should use it in order to maximize
his natural strengths.
The second needs to follow it in order to bring up his physical
weaknesses.
The interesting thing about BOTH types of people is that
by challenging their body’s to grow stronger… they may also
experience a change in their psychological character!
If you’re in need of a solid step by step routine for building
strength… that ALSO challenges your character and forces you
become mentally strong too… then you might consider investing
in Mike Gillette’s Savage Strength System.
There really is nothing magical or ground breaking in Mike’s
approach… it’s just based on sound strength principles that
will support ANYONE who needs to grow stronger.

Pizza Is A Vegetable, And I’m A Jerk Off!
If you haven’t heard yet, the brilliant and talented
US Congress has officially proclaimed that pizza
is a vegetable!
My first reaction to this news was quite apathetic…
I feel that if you believe anything that comes from
the same people who promised “Change”, only to
create more wars, give more bailouts and infringe
on more of our civil liberties…
Then by all means, eat your freaking veggies!
(Just don’t bitch, moan, or demand free health care
when you get parasites, and stomach diseases that
causes your a** to leak bile every time you sneeze.)
– RANT OVER –
Honestly though, in this day and culture it is almost
impossible to know what is true from what is total
BS!
We’ve got 64 year old women walking around with
boobs firmer and more perky than most 19 year old
cheerleaders.
We’ve got law makers telling us that fluoride, which
is known to be a neurotoxin that destroys learning and
memory, is healthy and should be put in our drinking
water.
We’ve got counterfeit-muscle pretty boys dying to
build more muscle but afraid to get stronger.
And EVERYONE is a winner!
I don’t know about you, but none of this stuff makes
any sense to me.
Call me “old school” — but this is why I always stick to
basics.
Like building a solid foundation of tendon strength
and a powerful nervous system BEFORE adding soft,
flat, empty looking muscle to my body.
Calling muscle that has no strength, a real muscle… is
like calling pizza a vegetable!
Another “old school” strength-guy who hates flat, empty
muscle is Mike Gillette “The Savage Strongman.
He’s written an interesting manifesto on the idea of
building the kind of strength that bends steel!
He calls it Savage Strength, and hes got a few tips on
how to build it over on this website for you.
I have nothing against looking good, in fact I like to flex
my guns in the bathroom mirror once in a while too
But I have a problem with people who try to get something
for nothing…
And trying to build an attractive body that lacks strength is
just that!
Here is Mike’s manifesto:
